Promotional bath accessories: confirm materials, size and branding
Separate the bath accessory sample, branding and packaging in a promotional brief; reconcile quantities for each configuration before approval.
A recognisable shape does not fully define a promotional bath accessory order. Separate the base sample, decorative parts, branding and packaging into items that can be checked. The term bath accessory or bath sponge does not establish the material or construction of the item to be made.
Phat Dat has a page for custom bath sponge production and supply. Scope, materials, quantities and timing need confirmation for each design. Images and examples here are illustrative, not approved products, order records or certification evidence.
Identify the parts using the reference
Show which part is intended for washing, which is decorative, and the attachment points and hanging loop if included. If there is no physical sample yet, mark proposed details as proposals rather than specifications already confirmed by the supplier. A mesh pouf and a sponge with a fabric component may have different construction; a shared name does not make them equivalent.
Provide the intended dimensions, measurement method and sample condition when measured. Material selection should relate to intended use, care and programme requirements for the responsible party to confirm. Do not treat information about a decorative plush toy or another bath accessory as documentation for this design.

Review the surface, decorative parts and hanging loop on the specific bath accessory sample.
Define the measurement endpoints before confirming size
In a hypothetical example, both parties write 18cm, but one measures the item including its hanging loop and the other measures only the washing section. Those descriptions do not yet define the same dimension. Send an image marking both endpoints, record the washing section, decorative component and loop length separately where relevant, and state the sample condition during measurement for the supplier to confirm. The 18cm figure illustrates a description error; it is not a recommended dimension or Phat Dat specification.
Identify materials by location too: washing surface, decorative component and loop. Mark missing information as requiring confirmation rather than assigning a fibre or plastic composition or properties from the colour seen in a photograph.
Separate the product from the branding location
- Base sample code and revision or configuration to review.
- Materials, decorative parts, attachments and information still requiring confirmation.
- Branding file, content revision and intended location: fabric component, tag or packaging.
- The proposed application for the sample maker to assess; one technique may not suit every surface.
- Intended recipients, quantity per configuration, required receipt date and distribution method.
Acceptance of the base sample does not itself approve the logo file, tag text or packing configuration. Identify who may approve each part and the reference reviewed, so that sample approved does not cover items that have not been checked.
Worked example: 240 gifts in two configurations
This example is entirely hypothetical. A programme requires 240 gifts: 150 in configuration A and 90 in B. Both are proposed to use the same base sample, while A has one tag version and B another. Sharing the base still needs sample-specific confirmation.
The record lists 240 base units, plus 150 A branding and packaging sets and 90 B sets according to the agreed configuration. Having 240 bath accessories does not establish the correct gift mix. If there are 140 A tags and 100 B tags, the total remains 240, but A is short by 10 and B exceeds the request by 10.
If the base material changes, include both configurations in the impact review when they share that base. If only the A tag wording changes, identify A and any connected items requiring another review. Do not call it a fresh approval of every configuration automatically. These figures are not a minimum order, real order or Phat Dat packing specification.

Record the product, branding tag and packaging as separate items for confirmation.
Keep a reference for quotation and comparison
Request a quotation against the same brief. Identify the product, sampling work, branding, packaging and delivery, including which parts are included or await confirmation. Retain the correct sample or images with the revision and open points. Product documentation or checks must relate to the actual construction and intended scope, rather than being inferred from a general promotional statement.
Use Phat Dat company information to identify the business and contact route. Send the configuration brief to ask about feasibility and outstanding confirmations. A bath accessory request does not need to be relabelled as a stuffed animal specification simply to use the same terminology.
